When is this training?
The training will take place on March 24 - March 25, 2020.
March 24 - identification, biology and control methods of structural pests in the 10a category
March 25- core exam review and general pest control review
Attendees may attend March 24 only, or March 24-25. Attendees may not attend March 25 only for 10A training.

What is this training?
In this training, subject experts will prepare students for the General Pest Control Category 10a test that includes:
- bed bugs
- cockroaches
- ants
- other inside pests
- rodents
Please note that category 10a does not include termites.
Who should take this training?
This training is offered for individuals preparing to take the state exams to become licensed pest control applicators. This training will also be helpful for anyone managing pest problems in structures or pest control professionals desiring a comprehensive review.
Category 10a General Pests The application of pesticides in or around human dwellings, industrial plants and business offices, food handling establishments, schools, hospitals or other institutions, warehouses, grain elevators, or similar buildings to control pests, including rodents of such structures, or of the occupants, furnishings, or provisions of those structures, except for the control of pest birds and wood-destroying insects or fungi.
Note: If you need recertification credits, please attend one of our Commercial Recertification Conferences in the winter.
Registration
$65 March 24 - General Pest Control
$120 March 24-March 25 - Review Session and Core
Registration and check in opens at 8:30 a.m. The class begins at 9:00 a.m. The class fees include a continental breakfast, instruction, and class notes. Lunch is included with pre-registration. To receive study materials for the class, you must apply for a license with the Ohio Department of Agriculture, which requires a separate $35 fee. Signing up for this class will not deliver you study materials.

On-site registration accepts cash and check ONLY. No credit cards can be used for on-site registration.
Refunds and Cancellations: There will be a $25 processing charge for any refunds. No refunds will be given after two weeks following the class. There is a $30 fee for any returned checks.

Registration and check in begins at 8:30 a.m. Below is the class schedule. Exams are available at the conclusion of each class. You will sign up for exams during the check-in process at the beginning of the day. Attendees that attend the morning session on March 25 will receive a Trained Serviceperson certificate.
NOTE: You must have a photo ID for the exam.
License and Study Materials
The New Applicator Pesticide Training course is designed to help you prepare for the Commercial Pesticide Applicator test. To become licensed, you must apply for your license with the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
The application for a pesticide license requires a separate $35 fee be paid to the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Once you have applied for your license, you will receive study materials. It can take 4-6 weeks to receive your study materials. We recommend that you apply for your license before taking this course. A representative from the ODA will be available on site to distribute study materials, if you have not yet received them.
You must pass the core test and at least one category test to receive your license.
