Agriculture Pesticide Disposal

2026 CLEAN SWEEP PESTICIDE DISPOSAL 

For Private Applicator Farmers and Growers Only (not for businesses conducting pesticide applications for hire). The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) hosts Clean Sweep events where farmers and growers may safely dispose of excess agricultural pesticides.

The pesticide collection and disposal services are free of charge, but only farm chemicals will be accepted. Paint, antifreeze, solvents, and household or non-farm pesticides will not be accepted.

The pesticide collections are sponsored by ODA in conjunction with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. To pre-register, or for more information, contact the Ohio Department of Agriculture at 614-728-6987.


Always refer to "Storage and Disposal" section on the pesticide label, and the Safety Data Sheet for basic disposal instructions

  • Excess pesticides and rinsates may be applied to a site listed on the pesticide label (don't exceed label rate)

  • Farmers (not businesses conducting pesticide applications for hire) may drop off excess agricultural pesticides at a Clean Sweep location around Ohio (Check home page for disposal dates) or contact the Ohio Department of Agriculture at (614)728-6393
