Taking the Exam

Register with the Ohio Department of Agriculture for an exam date and location, register online or by calling the ODA, Pesticide Division at 614-728-6987. (Because of limited space, you may not be able to take the exam if not pre-registered.)

1. Apply for a pesticide license with the Ohio Department of Agriculture ($35 fee).

2. After applying for your license, you have up to one year to pass your exams.

• Everyone must take the core exam.

• You must also take one category exam. Click here for a list of categories.

Checking your Exam Results

• Visit the ODA website to check your exam results, which will be available 2-4 weeks after your exam date.
• Make sure to have your Applicator ID # and the date you took the exam ready.
