This program will meet the mandatory training for licensing in the Wood-Destroying Insect Inspection (Category 12) as required under the new Ohio regulation. Training is conducted by the Ohio Pesticide Safety Education Program, Ohio State University Extension, and the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Pesticide & Fertilizer Section.

Pre-registration is $90 (includes box lunch)
On-site registration is $100 (Box lunch NOT guaranteed & on-site registration NOT available for recertification)

Have you applied for your license?
In addition to attending the mandatory class, a Wood-Destroying Insect Inspector needs to have an Ohio Commercial Pesticide Applicator License. Even though you are not making pesticide applications, you need to have the license with the category endorsement for inspections. Click here for information on obtaining your license.
Applicators with core, category 12, category 10a, and/or category 10b on their license can receive recertification credit if space is available. A total of 5 hours of recertification will be offered for the day: 1 hour for Core, 2 hours for category 10a,and 2 hours for category 10b (there is no time specified for category 12). Preference is given to those attending for initial training. There is no on-site registration for recertification credit.
