On-site registration accepts cash and check ONLY. No credit cards can be used for on-site registration.

You will need a photo ID for the testing that takes place at the end of the day

Note: If you need recertification credits, please attend the Urban Landscape Managment Workshop on September 7, 2016 or one of our 2017 Commercial Recertification Conferences in the winter.

New Pesticide Applicator Training Classes (Core and Categories 8, 6c, 5, 2c)

Morning session: Review of Core information for applicators taking the Core exam. The morning session also qualifies as Trained Serviceperson training. At the end of the morning session, everyone will receive a Trained Serviceperson certificate. Click here for more information about a trained serviceperson.

Afternoon session: Review of category exam information. You are able to attend one of these sesssions: Category 8 (Turf), Category 5 (Industrial Vegetation), Category 6c (Ornamental Weed), and Category 2c (Agricultural Weed).

    Cost for the class is $35 for the morning session, $30 for the afternoon session, or $65 for the full day. The class fees include instruction, lunch, and class notes. The study materials for the exam are sent to applicators after sending $35 with a completed application to the Ohio Department of Agriculture.     Classes will be taught at the Ohio Dept. of Ag., 8995 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Click here for a map and directions

Class Schedule:

8:30 a.m.- Registration Begins (coffee & doughnuts available)

9:00 a.m. - Morning Session Begins (Core & Trained Serviceperson)

The class will review Core material for the applicators planning to take the Core exam. The morning class will cover the requirements to become a Trained Serviceperson and participants will receive a certificate of completion.

12:15 p.m. - Completion of Core and Trained Service Person Training

12:15 p.m. - LUNCH (box lunch included, if pre-registered)

1:00 p.m. - Afternoon Session Begins (Categories 8, 6c, 5 & 2c)

The afternoon class provides an overview of concepts that are a significant portion of the exams for turf, ornamental weed, industrial vegetation, and agricultural weed (categories 8, 6c, 5, and 2c). Some application calculations (5, 2c) will also be covered, along with other turf pests (8).

3:30 p.m. - Adjourn & Take Exams
